In 1928, Walt Disney created Minnie Mouse as a character for Mickey Mouse to flirt with. She was designed to be a "flapper" girl and followed trends of the modern youth culture. She is often symbolized with her red polka dot dress and her yellow shoes with a red polka dot bow tie.
Minnie Mouse's first appearance was with Mickey Mouse in the film
